Den Startschuss gibt Prof. Dr. Matin Qaim, Sprecher des Graduiertenkollegs:
This week we start with a new format: Short (<3 minutes) video clips about some of the research topics that are covered within the research training group GlobalFood that is based at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development and the Department of Economics of the University of Goettingen. Which research questions do the junior researchers shed light on? Which insights have they gained so far? Instead of referring to lenghty publications, the Phd students want to present their research to a larger audience with the help of short video clips, and simultaneously, giving their research a face. *

The start marks the speaker of the program, Prof. Dr. Matin Qaim:

Professor Matin Qaim provides a brief introduction to the GlobalFood Program, a Research Training Group at the University of Göttingen that has been funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) since 2011. The objective of the Program is to analyze trends, driving forces, and implications of the globalization of agri-food systems and train junior researchers to make them fit for international careers. More than 50 scholars have already completed their PhD successfully in GlobalFood.
